Here at English Language Homestays we believe that variety is the spice of life, that’s why when we are full, we offer our agents other available centres, Eastbourne being one of them.
Eastbourne is a resort town on England’s southeast coast. On the seafront are Victorian hotels, the 19th-century Eastbourne Pier and a 1930s bandstand. Towner Art Gallery includes modern British works. Nearby, Redoubt Fortress, built during the Napoleonic Wars, has a military museum. Southwest along the coast, in South Downs National Park, are the tall chalk cliffs of Beachy Head and its striped 1902 lighthouse. Our Host families in Eastbourne are amazing people who can help you explore what Eastbourne has to offer.
You will feel like you are on holiday here with it’s laidback atmosphere. The surrounding areas of Hastings and Seven Sisters offer lots of history and beautiful walks with stunning scenery. Host families in Eastbourne are very accommodating and love nothing more than spending time on the array of peaceful sandy beaches or going to one of the many large parks that are within walking distance with the dogs. Foreign Students looking for accommodation might choose Eastbourne as it’s a quiet town where they feel safe and you often seen them scattered over the beach with their study materials in hand. Not sure if they actually get any studying done or whether they are just taking in those hard to find sun rays.
Another very positive note about Eastbourne is that we can also offer High School Exchange Programme here, you can come for a day or stay for 3 weeks. Being situated inside an English school with an English buddy is a real fun and fast way to learn the lingo.
After a tour of the premises, you will be allocated an English buddy to be your companion for the day or for the duration of your stay. Enjoy your lessons!!
What’s not to love about Eastbourne, so many things to do and see. The very famous Air Show happens here every year and the best bit, it’s a free of charge event. Swimming in the sea with Spitfire’s flying above your head, how daredevil is that!
If Pirates are more your thing then make sure you tell your teacher about Smugglers Adventure which is in the nearby town of Hastings. Here you can walk around old working caves and take in the history of the Pirates that came here. Not for the faint hearted and prepare yourself, you will jump at some point on this tour and it will be unexpected.
One thing to be sure of, when you are an International Student in Eastbourne, you are never alone…You can be certain to bump into a Japanese or Italian Exchange Student to name a few.
Eastbourne Host Families are waiting for you now, come and enjoy the Sunshine Coast
