For all the football lovers English Language Homestay has confirmed the dates for Club Football Academy programme! The tournament is coming very soon and we want to make sure that you are properly prepared for the month of tears, tears of joy of course!
Travelling abroad can be exciting or worrying matter depending on which side we stand. While young students pack their bags with a fascination of the upcoming adventure, parents often think about all the things that could go wrong and how to help their kids to avoid them.
Being a foreign student in Brighton and Living in here is for me it has been a home away from home, mainly because of two things polish restaurants & sea. Back home I used to live near to the sea and I don’t think I’d ever get bored of the sound of waves and (noise of) seagulls! Although Brighton seagulls -and I don’t mean the football club here- are very social and don’t mind enjoying your meal with you.
As a qualified ESL teacher teaching English here in Brighton the most satisfying thing I find is when I see great improvement, not only in the language skills of the student but also in their new found confidence when speaking in English and methodology has changed a lot over the years.
We were very excited a few months back to receive an email telling us we would be welcoming Japanese Exchange Students in our town of Brighton. These Japanese students are coming on our Exchange programme for 2 weeks during the Autumn.
The students had a bit of a history lesson on the origins of Halloween and the traditions surrounding this festival. Not many people know that it originated as Celtic festival of Samhain, the day that marked the end of summer and the beginning of winter a time also associated with human death.
ELH is a college situated in town near Brighton ,a well-known city on the south coast of the United Kingdom. I went there for the first time 4 years ago with an Italian Agency and, to tell the truth, I was a little worried because it was my first time away from home without my parents. However, once there I fell in love with the place and the weather and happily stayed for 2 weeks (which was back in 2014).I really wanted to stay and extra week but unfortunatly returned home after two.
Cornwall has a history of shipwrecks because of the coastline which although very beautiful, is also very dangerous. Quite often the lifeboats have been called out to try to rescue boats caught on the rocks…but more than that, Cornwall is quite simply one of the most magical places on earth. After all, didn’t King Arthur and Merlin originate from here…..
