What can you expect when you are living with a Homestay!! Marble floors, maid service and all-inclusive meals…Well almost. You will certainly see a marble rolling across the floor as a cheeky toddler tries to get you to come on board and play until way after their bedtime and possibly yours.
There are many ways to learn English, some of which are very formal, others are more fun. Scientists prove that human brain can be mostly productive around 10:00 am, hence most of your school tests and exams are run around that time.
In Homestay English teaching for students, students often decide that living with English Language teacher and having lessons in the tutors home is a perfect option. Certainly, they have the undivided attention of the teacher and no disruption from other classmates.
Being a foreign student in Brighton and Living in here is for me it has been a home away from home, mainly because of two things polish restaurants & sea. Back home I used to live near to the sea and I don’t think I’d ever get bored of the sound of waves and (noise of) seagulls! Although Brighton seagulls -and I don’t mean the football club here- are very social and don’t mind enjoying your meal with you.
I have been Homestay Tutor in Brighton for 3 years now and could not have imagined how rewarding it was going to be when I decided to do it. There is a hugely diverse culture of students passing through English Language Homestays and the Company, as well as the Students, are beautifully accommodating in their manner.
As a qualified ESL teacher teaching English here in Brighton the most satisfying thing I find is when I see great improvement, not only in the language skills of the student but also in their new found confidence when speaking in English and methodology has changed a lot over the years.
There is never a dull moment when you offer Homestay Accommodation for International Students and I would totally recommend it to anyone. Whether you have a single room or a twin room, right up to four in a room, you will enjoy every moment. Meeting students from every type of background makes you realise that life is just about enjoying all the happy moments and creating the best memories to treasure for a lifetime.
We were very excited a few months back to receive an email telling us we would be welcoming Japanese Exchange Students in our town of Brighton. These Japanese students are coming on our Exchange programme for 2 weeks during the Autumn.
